WWW: I understood how to look in depth about how Mrs Merriwheather (possibly wrong spelling) is supposed to be a devout Christian, but is constantly putting down her black servant. On the other hand, she seems to try and support a black tribe in Africa which basically contradicts her feelings against her black servant.
